About Us
The Bhutanese American Association of Houston (BAAH) is 501 C (3),  nonprofit organization formed in April, 2009 with objectives of providing self-sufficiency strategies and supports for refugees and immigrants communities residing in Houston and its neighboring cities and states.
   
Organization's Objectives :

To create the community and social support system for resettled Bhutanese American in Houston and the neighboring cities and states.
To engage in the promotion and expansion of self help activities among Bhutanese American residing in Houston and its Vicinity.
To provide social opportunities for Bhutanese American and create the community center for social, cultural, educational, and recreational activities.
To develop and provide social, cultural, immigration , educational, advocacy, and other needed services to the Bhutanese American community.
To develop the leadership quality within the community so as to develop the collective outlook that promotes shared interest in the healthy future through wide spread community engagement and leadership.

To create greater cooperation and relation with State & federal government and other interested groups or individual to promote the aspect and interest of Bhutanese American Community in Houston and its vicinity.

To coordinate and cooperate with other multicultural community based organizations, refugee resettlement organizations, and working by collaborating with them in specific projects for the greater interest and benefit of Bhutanese American community in Houston and its neighboring cities / States.

The Organization is solely dedicated for building up of a strong community were all people and families have access to quality housing, health care, jobs and education.
So far Bhutanese American Association of Houston (BaaH) has always been true to its mission, values, and purpose of helping persons grow in spirits, mind and body. It has been a place where people can find hope, fellowship and counseling.
BAAH has always worked to bring about a meaningful changes through individuals by providing the day to day resources of our community's needs by focusing in child welfare, education, employment, housing and hospitals.
Its only possible through the support of our well-wishers and volunteers, public and private donors that we will be able to serve our community. When you help us at BAAH you are playing an active role in bringing changes in your own community.
