flag Bhutanese American Association of Houston (BAAH) is 501 c (3 ) non-profit organization which was established in April 2009 with the objectives of providing community supports, empowerment and services to the people residing in Houston and the neighboring cities and states.

The Bhutanese American Association of Houston (BAAH) was formed in April 2009 with the aim of providing supports and services to the community people residing in Houston and the neighboring states.


Our main Objectives are:

To create the community and social support system for Bhutanese in Houston and in Neighboring states.
To engage in the promotion and expansion of self help activities among bhutanese residing in Houston and its Vicinity.
To provide social opportunities for bhutanese and create the community centre for social, cultural, educational, and recreational activities.
To develop and provide social, cultural, immigration, educational, advocacy, and other needed services to the bhutanese community.
To develop the leadership quality within the community so as to develop the collective outlook that promotes shared interest in the healthy future through wide spread community engagement and leadership.

Our Mission

The Organization is solely dedicated for building up of vibrant and self-sufficient community through the medium of active participation of community people and means of comprehensive network of social services were all people and families have access to quality housing, health care, jobs and education. BAAH has been committed to facilitate developmental, educational, cultural, and recreactional activities, and coordinate different community groups, families, newly arrived and resettled Bhutanese immigrant refugees in empowering them to integrate into the mainstream American society.
So far Bhutanese American Association of Houston (BAAH) has always been true to its mission, values, and purpose of helping persons grow in spirits, mind and body. It has been a place where people can find hope, fellowship and counselling.
BAAH has always worked to bring about a meaningful changes through individuals by providing the day to day resources of our community's needs by focusing in child welfare, education, employment, housing and hospitals.
Its only possible through the support of our well-wishers and volunteers, public and private donors that we will be able to serve our community. When you help us at BAAH you are playing an active role in bringing changes in your own community.
